On the 21st June Lekker International announced a host of sweeping changes to it’s Rewards Program that have been met with overwhelming applause.  It was the result of listening to our Associates and industry leaders and recognizing that sometimes in our attempts to be different we can get too clever for our own good.

Michael Faust sets the record straight

I was asked a question recently, “Michael, we hear you have changed companies a few times in recent years. First Clubfreedom, then Holidays and Cash, and now Lekker International.  How do we know you will stay with Lekker International?”

It was a valid question and so let me address it.

In 2007, when Clubfreedom was growing dramatically after only 9 months of operation, I was offered a role as a International Director of Sales and Marketing.  It was a great opportunity to come into a fast growing company and create systems and marketing strategies for a company that was growing so fast.  Within a few weeks of starting I was on a plane to India which led to travel to many countries like Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Japan, Germany, Belgium, Kuwait, and Nigeria conducting training and presentations.  I got the opportunity to learn how Network Marketing worked in different countries that were unique in terms of culture, language, and economy.  I built up incredible relationships with people all over the world. Most of all I got to see what worked and what did not work in a travel related MLM company.

A year later my contract had come to an end I felt it was time to move from being just an employee with no equity to a owner of my own company taking the vast experience of 18 years in MLM and what I had learned in Clubfreedom.

That resulted in the creation of Holidays and Cash where I was a part-owner and the public face of the company.  I got an opportunity to take a concept and turn it into a successful business with the help of my business partners.  By Dec, 2009, 18 months after we started, Holidays and Cash grew into over 100 countries.  It led to spending 6 months in South Africa with my family which was an experience we will never forget. We made amazing friendships, were enriched by the opportunity to learn about different cultures and loved learning more about Africa.  South Africa is like a second home to us now.

However it has always been my dream to own my own company where I was in a position to control the direction that a company took.  The end result is Lekker International, the outcome of 20 years in Network Marketing.  I feel like everything I have done to now has led to me being ready to take on the huge responsibility of launching my own international success story.  It hasn’t been easy and it has been a 20 year journey with many struggles and victories but I have NO regrets.  I know with every fiber in my body that I am meant to be exactly where I am today…involved with Lekker as the founder, Chairman and President, working with an incredible team of people I feel proud to call partners and friends.

So what is after Lekker?  Lekker is the destination I have been heading towards for 20 years so I have found home, a place to build an empire with the comfort of knowing I am in the drivers seat, that I am the majority share holder, and knowing I am ready and up to the challenge.

I accept that there will always be critics and you can never please everyone.  I have made an interesting observation though.

Everyone has the right to make a NEW decision based on NEW information. Every day people around the world change jobs, close a business to start a new one, or walk away from a job to start a business, all in the quest to find a place where they can fullfil their potential, to provide a better life for their family, to find happiness, to simply challenge themselves.  As we get older and look back upon our lives the most common thing said, “I wish I had been brave enough to take  up a career I would have been passionate about, OR I wish I had have lived life more and not played it so safe, OR I wish I had of found a career where I was more fulfilled.”

I am passionate about Lekker and the opportunity it offers to change many lives.  I am living my dream and know that I have paid my dues to be where I am today.  I do not have a crystal ball but I do know that Lekker has the potential to create a better future for you if you are ready to pursue your dreams.

Lekker International soft launch in South Africa a great success!

I am sitting in the business lounge in Johannesburg about to head home to Australia reflecting on the great success of our soft launch tour of South Africa which took in Cape Town, Durban and South Africa.

The overwhelming feedback from top leaders in the industry was that Lekker was NOT just another copy cat.  They recognised that we had raised the bar considerably and created an opportunity for others to envy.

Randall Deer and Glen Archer from RewardsCorp, the company offering Lekker our patented and exclusive travel product, impressed everyone with their impeccable credability.  Randall at age 34 has already floated the largest travel organisation in Australia at age 28, was General Manager of the largest resort group at age 25, and now owns one of the most respected travel rewards companies in the world.

Michael Faust launches new Network Marketing company….Lekker International

On February 6th, 2010, I celebrated 20 years involvement in the Network Marketing industry.

Some people would say I should get therapy for spending that much time in this industry.  There have been times I would have agreed…lol

However I can say that this industry changed my life. It helped me overcome a bad speech impediment, a stutter, where I have now had the privilege to present to tens of thousands of people in over 20 countries inspiring them to live their dreams. I have made life long friends who share a desire to improve their lives, other people’s lives and who have certainly impacted my life.  I have had the privilege of working from home for 19 years which has played a vital role in enjoying nearly 22 years of happily married life and raising two confident children who always knew their dad was close by.

In April 2010 I am launching an exciting new company that is the culmination of 20 years building international teams, working in senior corporate executive positions, building IT solutions, consulting to leaders and companies, and recently being a founder and shareholder of a successful Network Marketing company that grew a member base in 100 countries.

It is called Lekker International.  Why Lekker?  Well you could say that the six months I spent in Cape Town with my family in 2009 changed my life and during that time I constantly heard a slang word being used with great passion when discussing the rugby, a bbq (or braai) and any other area of life where the event was a positive outcome.  My interpretation of Lekker was “awesome”, “cool”, “enjoyable”.
